People who do meth (hardcore) are some of the shittiest, lying most crappy people on the face of the earth!! It's not all their fault. Meth is a horrible drug!!!
You should really think about this objectively.
I don't think using methamphetamine makes anybody 'hardcore', so to speak. Think of all those morbidly obese patients taking Desoxyn before every meal. Is that your idea of hardcore? Propaganda tbph.
I mean most of these people look as if they have been involved in a lab explosion, or just generally don't give a shit about their well-being. Methamphetamine does not make anybody shitty, and it certainly won't make you lie. Addiction might be a contributer to those things, but certainly not methamphetamine alone.

We have those as public ads, people dying of respiratory failure, people on oxygen. Australia just introduced plain packaging for tobacco products, complete with stock graphic images of the 'results' of tobacco use.

You have never used speed? When i was younger there was no crystal meth, it was all powder meth (or glug) and people didn't smoke it hardly ever except on 'snowcones'.. I didnt form an addiction then just once a month or more at raves or whatever, then crystal meth came here about yr 2000 or so and alot of my friends started smoking it like some people do bongs or ciggies and I thought no way do I wanna do that and stopped. Now most my friends never see powder or glug, they only see crystals/shards/glass.
It's all meth tho apparently, powder, glug, crystal. I just find the crystals are more expensive and more addictive and more powerful, not sure if all that is true, but yeh i dont use it anymore havent for along time.
And if you use mdma a bit as your name suggests, I guess you have had a fair few pills over your time? I hope you test them all, as I know around the place I live in heaps have had meth/speed in them, some times speed bombs do the rounds as E's alot over here. I've tested loads of pills and quite a few have come up with a positive reaction to meth/speed.

It's a constant rush, thrill and enjoyment that puts a psuedo-enthusiasm on life and negates common necessities of reality. The drug quickly spirals out of control when the user begins taking large doses to avoid feelings of loss or worry.
It rationalizes itself in many users as "weight loss" or "Motivation" and takes a grip the person often doesn't even recognize is even there.
It's horrible, because the person goes completely dellusional after a while and NEEDS to be occupied on something. This is often thinking about the police or trying to afford more meth. Psychosis is DANGEROUS.

If it interests you at all, the new "crystal" meth is usually the dextro isomer of the drug in the Hydrochloride salt, while the old school "powder" that you're talking about was the racmic version of the drug which has a lot more side effects.
Overall meth isn't really that bad of a drug... but only when used responsibly. Unfortunately, if you smoke or shoot that shit, that becomes almost impossible.
