I am going to say this now; if you lot continue to come here and just take the piss there will be consequences.

The best crystal md** I had was a brown, sticky bunch of crystals that smelled VERY strongly of saferol, one tiny spec would cause marquis/mandelin to instantly bubble and turn deep black. I'm guessing it was obviously not pure, but what causes the brown colour and smell? And do the chemists leave it like that on purpose to add to the weight, instead of losing product through doing a final wash? I'm quite interested, it was the best stuff I've had in years - 120mg would keep us going for hours, which made me suspect it was MDA/MDEA. On the other hand I've had clear white crystals, same reaction with the reagents but was nothing in comparison when peaking.

There are quite a few items in the reactions that are a brown / yellow / light brown colour. The colours usually pass through to the final product.

Its either a case of lack of seperation so the chemist just does one seperation and not multiple passes. Also they dont bother washing or cleaning.

I think the main reason is because of time. But it would also seem customers prefer brown product than white and yes you are right the more filtering and more seperation and more cleaning the more "lost product"

Simply we prefer dirty brown so hence why the chemist just leaves it brown.

Many claim brown MDMA gives a more full on Buzz than clean white. Dont know exactly why but I have read this from many reliable sources.

I'd suspect it has more to do with people believing that a sticky brown lump is somehow more likely MDMA than a white crystal.. also it's not as easy to cut brown looking MDMA. If they can be lazy, make more money and people will still buy more of it.... why not?


Fortunately there are some purists out there and we demand something a bit higher grade than a brown blob of goo to roll on :p
 
What your dealer considers to be moon rocks could and is probably way different to what the next guy considers to be moonrocks.

As this is ecstasy discussion section I trust that the substance you consider to be taking is also believed to be MDMA.

Totally agree the combination of not having to do as much work and ending up with a more desirable product is 99.9% the reason MDMA will always be brown.
