Rusty of All Good Funk Alliance - Future Gogo live PA intro mix

That's just a little sample of the craziness that was premiered last night at our party. All Good Funk Alliance are legends that have been at it for 20 years...all live PA these days. I'd be interested to hear what you guys think about it. Gogo originated in our home city in the 60's and 70's, and this is a new interpretation.

:D

I can't sit around and listen to it all the time, but love seeing it played at shows. At the boys noize show last week Team Bayside High opened up and were playing almost an entire moombahton set. It was okay, not as good as Dillon a few weeks ago, though.

I've also seen Toddla T live and got a chance to talk with him before the show he played with Roska. I don't really see it as reggaeton, it has more of a straight reggae feel. Technically he produces dance hall, and told me his style originated from Sheffield where he grew up. He seems to mix hip hop with dance hall, and a lot of times have a reggae-like rapper on the track too. I can't say I really like his work, though... and his set was less than impressive.

^Matt Nordstrom is the nicest, most humble guy you'll ever meet. It's about time that he's getting acclaim for his skills. He was Deep Dish's studio engineer and was really the backbone of why their production was so tight. That's how I got to know him. He used to produce great dnb that never saw the light of day. On days when the guys would be on tour, it'd be slow and he'd crank out awesome tunes that might only see a couple plays. He really transitioned into his bigger house stuff and his partnership with Dave Nada around the same time that Dubfire underwent his metamorphosis.

Some of DC's finest exports right there

:D

I love it, but I'm going to have to agree with some of the other posters- I can't listen to it for hours on end. I'd like to find some more, though..

i just can't really get into it. i don't mind hearing 1 song of it being mixed into a set, but i don't want to see 2 hour long sets of it. i'm going on the holy ship next month to the bahamas and dillon francis and dave nada are both gonna be playing on the ship :\

if you haven't seen dillon live you'll definitely enjoy his show. I've seen him 4 times now.

Actually I changed my verdict about dillon
He sounds too dubstep for my taste.
And playing 1 track for 5 seconds outside of the dubstep genre still doesn't classify him as anything other than dubstep.

But I will give Unter Lieben mad props because his track selection sounds pretty neat :)

but on another note i do have a ticket to see dillon francis on thursday night :P ill take some pics for ya!

moomnahton 4 life s0n!
