Whoohoo! Vacation in Montréal! I'm from NS, but I've only been to Montreal a few times, and I was either too young to appreciate it or there too quick to see or do anything!

Does anyone have any recommendations for things I must do? So far, I've got Mont Royal and Fleet Foxes. That's as far as I go. I'm not a touristy-place kind of gal, but I want to do some cool shit!

I am scoping out grad schools, too...yay!

I highly suggest you visit Saint Joseph's Oratory, Former home of Brother André. Even if you are not of the Roman Catholic faith, it is quite an impressive place. When you walk through the main doors, there are around 10,000 crutches of the people he healed lining the walls, and the immense stone room is lit entirely with thousands of memorial candles. In another room, they have his heart, preserved and on display. The Oratory has sacred Roman Catholic artifacts on display throughout. It is absolutely wonderful - One of my favorite places on earth. There is such an amazing aura present that by the time you you leave, you will be higher than you have ever been in your entire life. I certainly was.

Montréal is such an incerdible and diverse city with so much to explore. It is by far superior to any american city, without doubt. You could be completely lost and wandering aimlessly and still have the time of your life.

Please make note of the correction above. The correct name is St Joseph's Oratory. The address is 3800, Queen Mary Road, at Côte-des-Neiges.
