Monster Energy Drinks Cited in Death Reports, FDA Says

Why only monster? All these energy drinks are pumped full of caffeine and taurine and sugar, there's no reason Monster would kill someone but Red Bull or Redeye or V wouldn't, unless the horrible flavor killed them (yeah they all taste like piss, but Monster tastes like piss from a cancerous toad).

If caffeine is killing people, why aren't the media and politicians calling for it to be made illegal? :? It looks like more people have died from caffeine drinks just recently than have ever died from 2C-E, for example.

How many doses of 2c-e have been taken relative to caffeine, and how many deaths attributed to them respectively?

Not saying either should be banned, just sayin, your comparing apples to that fruit that no one has fucking heard of. A plumelo i think it was called ;)

Well, the media and politicians don't properly compare apples and pomegranates, either. That was my point.

Dunno about you guys, but I was a stupid asshole when I was 14. I Remember drinking like 5 red roosters and wanting to die for like 6 hours. that taught me though, it really did.

But srsly, shit'll get real if they start going after caffeine.

yah i remember when i was 18 i drank a single bottle of red line and thought i was gonna die.... it was like all the bad parts of crack and none of the good parts

seriously how much monster did this girl drink? maybe she had a preexisting heart condition?

True, true.

I just think its not really relevant to compare a drug ~.001% of the population has taken, with something i'd wager at least 50% of people use on a daily basis. Its near impossible to compare the harm of the two, and to be fair, that was your point :).

The only real factor that goes into deciding what drugs are legal/illegal is who is making money from them, and how much influence they have in the legislature/government.

With that said, i think caffeine is one of the physically safest stimulants you can take, not mixed with other stimulants/adaptogens like in enegry drinks of course.

2c-e is a beast of a psychadelic phen, that can kick your ass hard (physically & psychologically) if you overshoot by a few mgs.

And the politicans aren't calling for it to be made illegal for the same reasons they don't call for the real damaging legal drugs to be made illegal, (alcohol & tobacco), they use them personally, and they are elected by people who have a vested interest in keeping them legal. Coffee/caffeine is BIG money.
