Monday Night Murder: Man Gets High, Tells Friend "Game Over," Shoots Him in the Head

Few things arouse a man's anger like American football. When the Dolphins lose, a thousand dudes across South Florida launch their remotes in unison at their TV screens. Road rage rises and bar fights break out. But murder?

That's exactly what happened earlier this week in North Miami Beach, however, when a teenager killed his buddy while smoking weed and watching Monday Night Football.

Brandon Kyle Lapeikis and Christian Salazar, both 19, were watching the Seattle Seahawks pummel the New Orleans Saints on television at Lapeikis' North Miami Beach home Monday night.

Lapeikis, Salazar, and two other friends were all smoking marijuana when Lapeikis suddenly left the room and returned with a gun, the Miami Herald reports.

Lapeikis allegedly racked the gun, pointed it at Salazar's head, and said "Game over." Then he squeezed the trigger and shot his friend in the head.

Salazar died shortly afterwards at the hospital. Lapeikis later admitted to killing Salazar but said he didn't know the gun was loaded and never meant to shoot his friend.

He has been charged with second-degree murder.

Brandon Kyle Lapeikis, thank you very fucking much for giving pro-drug war bureaucrats a reason to argue against the legalization of marijuana - you stupid piece of shit.

hahahahaha you think thats bad you should see what British soccer fans do when there team loses..... Baseball bats, knives and thrown bricks/rocks come to mind8(

so his story is he didn't know the gun was loaded? was that supposed to be some kind of gag he was playing on his friends then? "ha i'm gonna go get a gun and pretend to shoot my buddy in the head, i bet everyone will get a good laugh out of this ha"

he's either mental or incredibly stupid. probably both.

Don't see how this has anything to really do with marijuana.
Sounds like a murder to me. Kids this is why you don't play with guns.

I agree with this.
(In fact, I find myself agreeing with nearly everything you post, RGB. Glad you have joined us!)

I don't think that they needed a reason to argue against legalizing. They have been doing so for almost 100 years, without a real reason, using invented reasons.

Damnit, this gives the anti-gun and anti-drug people more ammo.
THIS!!!! Dont people learn you dont point a gun at anyone unless you intend to shoot them. Loadeed or otherwise. Even a fucking airsoft gun, some of those could really take your eye out. But what a fucking moron....this will set any progress back like mad.

lol my3rdeye I'm sorry, I hit "edit" instead of "quote". Could you reconstruct your message please? I'll try to restore that 2nd video.

good, maybe if people treated gun ownership as a privilege rather than a right you wouldn't have so many ignorant fuckheads using their weapons as toys.

I like how they point out real world examples of violence correlating with football games... Then dismiss the examples and switch stances entirely to blame the violence on the pot...

Like, "we cant blame guns of violent sports for violence due to sponsorships... Lets blame cannabis!" lmao wtf over?
