In a world in which people become more and more obsessed with their own bullshit, their popularity, their wealth, their status, I can come on here and be with a family of individuals who go against that grain of hate, apathy and selfishness.
Bluelight is the largest resource of its kind. In this age of instant information and communication, there is still no AI that can describe the feeling of shame after relapsing. An AI doesn´t know how it feels to wake up next to your best friend, body already cold and hard like fucing wood. They can´t tell you ¨how long does it take to get addicted to Xanax?¨ An AI cannot describe the nature of Opioid addiction from start to finish, throgh relapses, ups, downs, shame, depression. An AI can´t describe how truly beautiful it is to see one of your peers regain that spark; that moment when a person who had prayed for death, now sees how awesome a sunrise is.
That is why we need you. We need people who are truly dedicated. We want people who are willing to sacrifice their time and energy for the benefit of our people. We need people with lived experience. We need knowledge regarding pharmacology/pharmacokinetics and practical knowledge of the various substances. We don´t need a genius. The right person, of course we will work with from the ground up.
Is Bluelight just some stupid site where addicts go to talk about drugs? That is what the world likes to think and say. No, in a world of judgement and misinformation, we are the arbiters of that information. There are no apps. There are no professional drug consultants on Main Street. We are it and have been for some time. You can be on a team with people who care, just like you. We are not fucking around here. We save lives. We help people.
