Hey there,
I've been taking Modafinil for my ADHD for a few days now. I experimented with Modafinil in different doses to assess tolerance and benefits. Tried 200mg and 400mg/day. 200mg seems to work best for me. But...
As I said, I've been taking it for a few days now, with no serious side effects except for stomach upset and weird pharmaceutical urine smell. First day I started modafinil I took one 200mg tablet in the morning and one 200mg tablet at about 7pm, as I was going to some friends house and wanted to feel fresh. We then hade some pot and everything felt well. No headaches, no drowsiness nothing.
So I kept taking the modafinil at one tablet in the morning (total of 5-6 days) and last night went out for a drink with friend. Keep in mind that I took the pill early in the morning but went out at about 8pm (without taking another pill) so it was way past the onset. I had two beers. Felt good no problems - chatty, walking around lively, no increased heart rate, no anxiety, no problems at all, just a little bit drunk, as I normally don't drink at all.
So I got back home at about 4am and decided to get a quick hit from the bong just before bed. And that's when things went south. Trip started as usual (note that I had that same weed the first day with modafinil with no issues - in fact I had the weed just after my second tablet that day, while here I had weed more than 10 hours later than my last modafinil dose), calm, relaxed feeling - you know pot... but it started building up more and more. Started feeling really sick and decided to go to bed as that is usually how I deal with my bad trips or ODs. Kept getting worse and worse. I fell asleep but woke up two hours later. Heart pounding like crazy, blood pressure low, feet and hands and nose super cold. Same pattern is present when someone is suffocating and the body draws the blood from the extremes to allow for more blood to reach vital organs/brain.
Anyway, at some point I was kinda scared that I'd have to go to the hospital again, but then I said to myself that people mix things way stronger and survive, so I just laid there and waited for it to finish its course. Some hours later I felt asleep and that's it. I woke up this morning and I have a bad headache and a general feeling of weakness and nausea...
Any ideas what happened ?
