Is it worth trying? I have the opportunity to buy quite a few of these for quite

cheap and was wondering if anyone here has taken it, liked it? Whats the

recreational dose for someone with NO stimulant tolerance? Is the buzz

similiar to Adderall? Or is it more like Propylhexedrine, methylphenidate?:)

In a randomized double-blind study, it was found that Modafinil increase alertness and mood in healthy individuals.

I don't know much about, but just did some research because I was curious about what it was. Yes. It can be abused. It is a CNS stimulant as I'm sure you already know. However, it is not in the same vein as Adderall (mixed amphetamine salts).

Modafinil is used to treat narcolepsy, shift work sleep disorder, and excessive day time sleepiness. It is federally controlled and is schedule 4.

Feels unpleasant to me, more so now I am older, I'll give it another go now and again, but unless really tired normally feel crap.

No pleasure IME, and of all the people I know who have used it, none felt it was nice either.

No real buzz as far as I can tell, might make me less likely to want to sleep but even that affect doesn't seem to be particularly strong

No recreational value but useful for wakefulness and (in my experience) focus and motivation.

I wouldn't mess with them at all unless they're the Cephalon brand-name Provigil though.

I need to be relaxed yet alert all night long. Is Modafinil the answer?

Hello. I am a middle aged night shift worker who is finding it increasingly difficult to concentrate after midnight. About 90% of the time it is tedious paperwork but with the ever present threat of an incident which will mean I need to be able to switch into fully alert and vital decision making mode at a moments notice.
A few years ago I tried 100mg of Modafinil and all I felt was a slight headache and some mild stomach cramps.
Well anyway, I've got hold some more chalky 100mg tablets and I'm so sick of the after midnight lethargy that I'm going to give the stuff another chance.
When should I take it (I start at 20.00hrs and finish at 08.00)? What dose? What with? And also I take the occasional 50mg of Tramadol for a knee injury. Is this contra-indicated?
Any advise from fellow night workers, recreational users or anyone else in the know would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
