Modafinil made my friends bizarre

I remember chatting to you and you talking off these full blown peripheral hallucinations in a blasë manner :D

sounds good to be tbh!

Had some ritalin yesterday, which made me overstimulated and slightly gurney, i much preferred the modalert i'd had the day before, clear headed, functional but with no body load at all

I've been taking these on and off, a half pill (100mg), or occasionally 200mg modalert brand pills and i find them amazing. I feel no physical effects from them, but i'm more on the ball, sharper, that kind of thing, also really helps me push when exercising. Its fantastic stuff, had no real sleep problems on it either though i do take them early morning if im taking em, and noticed no side effects as of yet.

The effects might be minor, but even that makes a big difference in concentration etc

Also havnt noticed any of the problems others have pointed out with the modalert brand, sometime in the future if i can i'l buy a strip of a different brand (modavigil etc) and see if i get a different effect, my guess was it was just a bad batch of those modalert pills others got though? They seem to be fine to me, though i have nothing to compare it with

Got some Provigil 200mg tabs at the moment.

I don't find it at all recreational. It's not entirely pleasant either, not jittery like high dose coffee, but definitely very on edge and charged, I can see why Victor Conte had is athletes take it on race days.

I can work through the night if I take one at 8pm. 100mg for me didn't do much, still yawning while I worked and able to sleep by 4-5am (took it at 8pm). But the full 200mgs certainly does the job. It's nice to have them on standby but I couldn't imagine taking it every day like some people do.

I wonder whether my "legal" script of Modafinal prescribed for the severely debilitating effects of MS is even the same drug I see anyone discussing here. Neither the 100 mg nor the 200 mg dose had even the slightest effect. In fact I was even more drowsy and lethargic, and far less able to focus or concentrate than when I took nothing at all for my symptoms. It didn't keep me awake no matter the time of day, and I certainly felt no sharpening of mental skills or abilities whatsoever. After giving it a fair trial for 2 months - and what's this "$50 bucks" rubbish; it set me back closer to $500 USD for each 30 day supply - I have determined I can get the same effect from a bag of Skittles sent to me from my cousin across the pond.

I suppose it all depends on which colour Skittles we're taking. :D

That really isn't good though. Is your doctor aware of the fact it's doing nothing?

Thats weird Britchick, i found the 200mg pills to be pretty powerfully stimulating, with mood lift and confidence boost properties too. I found it so strong that i ended up halving the 200 mg pills. I thought i was dependant on it for several months until one day i realised that i had forgotten to take it but felt absolutely fine without it. 8(

I can only assume that you are either getting an inert/duff batch, or that somehow you are not able to metabolise it, or get anything out of it, for reasons i wouldnt have a clue about. Its possibly down to an individual brain chemistry thing, or it could be that its unable to counteract the symptoms of your illness. It was a good idea that the Dr had though, it could have worked. As Sam said, definately go back to the Drs and tell them so's you can try something else that might work better for you.
