Modafinil = best stimulant yet?

I just posted this same thread a week ago, I would dig it up for you but I am sober and thus extremely lazy...
 
I just saw this on the news and it isn't a stimulant, it is something that I do not recall, without any addiction.
I may have this drug confused though, if I do, I apoligize.
 
I don't understand these articles. It is weird, they are actually suggesting 4-day modafinil binges? Somehow I doubt that's a hell of a lot better for you than a four day meth binge...
Anyways, modafinil isn't a new drug. It's actually C4 in the US, so someone thought it was at least a little fun.

I had some pills of Adrafinil, supposedly an "older" form of Modafinil that is supposed to do nearly the same thing (so i read), and it didnt seem to do anything at all. The most i've taken is 600mg at once (2 pills), but i have not tried taking them every day.
 
PPL... I saw that news report last night too. This stuff does NOT give you any kinda buzz or high at all. It just keeps you functioning normally without having to sleep. It doesnt make you any MORE alert than you normally feel. It just keeps you from feeling tired when you go wothout sleeping. That's it. And they don't even know HOW it works.
 
Have a big bottle of this crap, and I didn't even find it helped prevent tiredness like people claim - after 15 hours awake I was getting tired and these didn't do shit..
So hey, give it a go, but it's definitly not going to get you high, and might not even help keep you awake..
 
I agree with Phreex. Don't believe the hype. I too have a bottle of Modafinil, and this stuff is literally worthless. I really don't think it will help you stay up any longer, either.
"Normal" (that is, non-illegal drug using people) are always desperate for the next big psychotropic drug like Valium (from the '70s) or Prozac (from the '80s) to get their hands on.
