Modafinil and Severe Epidermic Reactions Concerns

I've never used modafinil (aka. provigil, alertec, modavigil) before and I'm a little concerned about developing a sever epidermic reaction like Steven Johns Syndrome, or Toxic Epidermic Necrosis, erythema multiform... etc.

Can someone explain to me how and why a person would develop a skin complication like the ones I mentioned above from using this substance ?

*On a somewhat related note, I've read that ibuprofen (advil, motrin) can also cause a severe skin reaction like the ones I mentioned... but, I always take ibuprofen for headaches or fevers instead of tylenol / aspirin* Can this mean I might be safe to take modafinil ??

Ibuprofen is less likely to cause a reaction. It's a hypersensitive immune reaction, more common in people with compromised immune systems (hiv, lupus, etc). If modafinil causes an itch or rash then stop taking it & see a doctor if it's severe.
