Can anyone apply and have a real chance at becoming a mod or do you have to be a seasoned BL member with thousands of posts ? I am very educated about the drugs discussed here in Other Drugs and Harm Reduction and I also have lots of free time to dedicate to the site. I would love to be a Mod here in Other Drugs, what I consider to be the best spot on BL .

Perhaps the mods can clarify this, but I remember hearing that, if you take it seriously, it's always worth applying. Even if you don't make the cut, at least you get noticed, so it can help any possible future applications.

Was tempted to put an app in myself, before I realised I only make like 2 posts a day in OD =D
 
^To add to this, I had less than 500 posts when I became a moderator. So you certainly don't need thousands of posts.

It sounds like OD doesn't need a new mod. Sekio just needs a secretary :)
 
Bluelight crew are all secret drug mafia members, the moderators are employed by them to clean up the mess they make flooding drugs to the general population.

Because OD is probably one of the hardest forums to moderate :) heh. I've got a lot of respect for everyone who does it past and present. I enjoyed being a mod in DiTM very much and was disappointed that personal junk got in the way of continuing to do so. But without being able to dedicate consistent time to mod work it wouldn't be fair to apply. Plus it's rewarding to argue unpopular positions and my personal pet peeves like a bitter old man.

*A euphemism for fired from actual responsibility :)
 
Will the fact that when high I can be so ditsy sometimes I even mis-spell usernames as disty count against me?

In my defense, I did join here probably at a point in my life where I have never been so high :D Props to sekio for being a legend btw.
