Like a shadow in my heart desert
The one from my dreams
Has come to visit me.
I am asleep with drunkenness
May I not dream any more.
This is for you, it is my full heart
It's the book I meant to read you, but only in part
Now I'm ashadow in a restless empire
And you are the realiease in a sizzling fire.
You are the lies of flesh in the truth of time
You are thr truth of scraments in the lies of rhyme.
I saw you watching the moon, and you didn't hesitate
To either love me with it, nor to dedicate
I saw you honoring flowers caught within the rocks
I saw you flinging starfish while standing on the docks.
I saw you with a child and you brought me his perfume
I heard you teach the silence with love but without tune.
I asked you for a wision without shedding any blood,
I begged you for a tear drop, you brought the raging flood.
You visited my clay and I visited your birth
I picked up the ashes and you filled up the hearth.
Until I became too small, too firghtened to be born
I looked in you for beauty and you answered with your scorn.
This I only learnet tonight, as I recall the mirrors
Mirros of the past and gone, reflection of the horrors.
Now I direct in the path of prayers, and the energy of your song
Now I am wondering shadow, craving boundaries to belong
Now I move to a dreamy love that will leave me not alone,
Now you're kneeling like a withered bouquet, in a cave of bone.
Like so many wooden tables, bare with candles left unlit
You are the uninvited guest, without a place to sit.
Like a cup of cold tea, after a wintry funeral
And the birth of a baby after the mother's burial
Like her half finished portrait on his half painted wall
And the complete non-challance when it will finally fall
Like Arabian drums beating for a bird on a wire
And cracked country lips floating to the drunk in a choir
Like a wind in my heart's forest
The one from my dreams
Has come to awaken me.
I am drunk with sleeplessness
Dare I dream some more?

I can tell because you incorporated your signature you've used forever that this which you've written is like a epic.
Good rhyme scheme, and a steady flow of concise feeling.
Your poems always have memorable, stand-the-test-of-time lines and I love it.

"I begged you for a tear drop, you brought the raging flood."
Ironic, I opened your post hoping for a small glimpse of your beauty....and you have completely consumed me. The imagery evokes a virtual flood of past memories and similar circumstance for me.
Absolutely wonderful...as I know you must also certainly be.
Love,
Caress
