(answered) Mobile version not opening nsfw tags

Yep, this was raised a while back.

We have a working solution, but it'll require taking the board offline to rebuild the post cache. Which is, ummm, kinda big and flabby. :D

Promise to do it on the next mini-maintenance.
 
I run the full site on my iphone and it opens them, but I think on the mobile version it doesnt work
 
Bahhh must be shitty Apple Safari browser. I wish Google would make Chrome for the iPhone, but that ain't gonna happen. Chrome on Android is kinda shitty too. Guess we Safari users will just have to deal. I missed nudie Amanda pics yesterday cuz I couldn't open it on my phone. :D
 
change it full.version when browsing threads with the tags, then switch back.for regular viewing.

I have to do that for modding stuff too, so it's kinda a hassle in that respect, but it's cool. Not really a big deal...just kinda an annoyance when you read on your phone during the day and don't remember to go back and look at the nsfw material. lol

if you ask nicely ill PM you some nice nsfw pics so you wont have to change the viewing format ;)
 
The more I read of this thread, the more I think that this might be one of those situations where the phone and browser you're using is a greater factor than the code itself.

We could very well replace the code as a means of fixing the functionality for some, but find that the new code doesn't work with other people's phones. :\

I'm gonna set up some test alternative spoiler codes, post them in here, then ask that you give me an indication of whether they work for you or not.

When you do this, can you also give me information on:

  • which mobile version of the site you're using (there are two)
  • make/model of the phone
  • browser you're viewing on
  • approximate age of the phone
Please don't use the codes outside of this thread as they'll be deleted thereafter, and will become non-functional if/when the post cache is cleared.

I think this was what I considered to be a working solution when I looked at it last October. Didn't have a reliable phone to test it on though.

Come to think of it, I seem to recall that most of the other options were either flaky in terms of forwards compatibility, or just didn't work on mobiles.
 
I can see option one. I'm on the regular mobile version, not the "lite" version.
phone- HTC inspire, ~2 years old
browser- opera
 
NSFW tags don't open on BL mobile : (

Yeah, they don't work. At least not on Droid 4 phones. That's all.
