Oh yeah, I'm very experienced with both MDA and MDMA. I found those two to be quite different.
MDA at highish doses (150+ mg) was quite psychedelic, lasted 12+ hours, nice hallucinations, in fact I was watching The Saint with Val Kilmer and the faces were morphing like crazy--I thought it was part of the movie; when I watched it again a couple days later of course the only morphing was when Val changed his disguises...
MDMA on the other hand was empath- and entacto-genic, no visuals or "weirdness" (or as you put it, "dreamlike") and lasted only 1.5 hours.
With both chemicals, the "magic" was gone after a few experiences with each. However, it's been almost exactly 10 years since I've had either, so hopefully my brain has forgotten it had ever been exposed to these lovely drugs. I have to say that amongst all the stuff I've ever taken, MDA and MDMA are right up there with LSD and ibogaine, so I really want to do this right.
