MLB Playoffs 2011

back then a playoff game featuring two of the best pitchers in the game would draw 100x more interest than a regular season football game

tonight, most people will be watching the bucs/colts instead of yankees/tigers

Looks likes the phillies are gonna be up 2-1 on the cardinals. Didn't think the diamondbacks would be down 0-2, and the tigers up on the yankees.

sorry for the previous busch league flaming, i've hated the phillie's well before i met you, mainly because i'm jealous

The randomness in this sport makes me wonder why they don't just go to a 7-game first round. For the second year in a row, the World Series will not be won by Baseball's best team.

Good teams lose series versus inferior teams all the time. 5 games is too small a sample size to correct for all the crazy shit that happens on a baseball field.

i absolutely agree. teams get streaky, need a 7 game first round IMO as well. regardless, it was pretty allsum watching the phils get beat. where is opaner?
 
who seriously wants the paper tigers to win the world series every year? sounds pretty fucking boring and predictable

the less predictiable a sport is, the more interesting it becomes

i heard him on dan patrick last week and i it legitimately pissed me off how can-did he was on some personal subjects

he bragged how much of a party animal he was and shared his love for dancing...all while being sober

talking yourself up because you are straight edge is about as cool as glamorizing drug use
 
The best line up baseball has seen in years, possibly since the Yankees int eh DiMaggio days. Along with the best and most feared bullpen in the game and a nice starting rotation. Rangers have ad clear a path as there is to a ring. And nelly fucking Cruz! Walk off grand slam in the ALCS? Holy shit. I have never seen anything like that. Go rangers.
