Mixmag - "Methoxetamine = roflcoptr" - *MUST READ*

hrmn ... I must of got that mixed up with the Blue UK one

the 17 Percival Street addy has a web designer registered there. maybe it's russell's bessie mate
www.jamesflood.me
www.jamesflood.me/jamesflood_cv.pdf

couldn't find any direct links to rofl in his cv though. not something you'd want to brag about it if you were doing design work for ITV

Ahah you guys...

I know there's one utterly horrified MXE vendor who's not going to be getting any sleep for the next week for checking the windows for snipers.

I couldn't find anything in the ource of the vendor's site linking to a designer. Perhaps someone could compare the design styles of the sites james has created?

Funny though, none of the other site's he's created have whois lookups pointing to number 17.

It's a good job there aren't any upset bluelighters living in london.

pretty similar clean site design [erm, boring and simple] .. white background, simple fonts

[edit] ... strange. his site only had a front page active before, now rofl has it's other pages active. this wasnt the case when he first closed it the other day. maybe he's been keeping up with the thread ;p

[edit]
tshit and merch section is still registered to russell@ 17 percival

and that's it for digging. beer and a movie calls

^ dunno if that's our failed entrepreneur.

I would say probably not, at a quick glance there's no friends from any of the unis that he went to & that says he lives in Telford, not London. Good try though but I think we should give this "women & cars" fan a pass.

ahh, i can't see all that infoz. not logged in

really off to watch a movie now ... just found this on his traffic stats tho ... not sure if anyone else linked it in the thread already

average 114 hits to his site per day? hrm, is that right, or in ref to hits on a banner or something? dont remember him linking to any affliciates other than erowid, the BL Methox megathread and one other...

Those web stat sites are very inacurate. I'm not even sure how they get that info, the only person who can look properly at the number of visits is the owner of the site.

Flood's LinkedinMirror

Also, note that the percival road address is in clerkenwell, as is the location on the t*p*x.com profile.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say the business was being run from there.

I just think it was a little cocky to have baited bluelight like he did. I've gone and put my tinfoil hat on now, and I don't use it lightly.

Perhaps if the site were just redirected to the erowid or wikipedia entry for MXE I'd take it off, but right now I feel like a hog hunting a truffle.

Hey, I found some solid info linking Russell Cope to the writer of the article Ben Beaumont-Thomas.

Will post some info up tomorrow once i'm feeling better/

Nice. I wonder how Mixmag would feel about one of their writers doing this? Especially with solid evidence & not just the possibility that the writer was a bit lazy looking for sources & got played by an MXE dealer pretending to be just your average user.

Surely they've got to care. Even if it's just as cold hearted as "we should have been paid by this prick if he wanted to advertise in our mag!".
