Misc Mixing Xanax and Lortab

Hello all, I'm relatively new to the drug scene, it's a whole new fun learning experience for me. I know mixing some things can be bad or fatal, while mixing others can be fun. Me and my friend had a hold of some 10/500 lortabs and a 1mg pill of generic brand Xanax. We had 3 each of the lortab and split the xanax in half and smoked with it. I'm wondering if there's a dosage amount of either two that shouldn't be combined? Any help is welcome
 
It all really depends on your tolerance to both drugs. From what I've read both of these drugs slow your heart rate down and that's why mixing opiods and benzos together can be harmful. Don't take my word on that, I'm not saying that it's 100% true. I have a really high tolerance to oxy and even when on a high dosage of OCs (I'm talking like 250mg or more dosage)...I can still feel the effect of a 1mg blue generic xanax, but I also don't have that much of a tolerance. Now if you have a low tolerance for BOTH then I would take it real easy on the benzos.
 
so, you already took both and are now asking if its safe? if you really cared about safety, maybe you would have asked first.
 
I can't imagine my tolerance is very high seeing as I've never really done these before. The 3 I took had me feeling pretty nice, and we took the Xan around when I started to come down, and it made me relaxed and sleepy. Would you suggest CWE for the lortab? I was thinking of only (for now) taking 1mg per.
 
what the fuck is 1 mg hydrocodone going to do? you already ate 3 lortab, why would you even bother cweing at this point. save your pills for another day, cwe like 30 mg, and enjoy. just call it a night right now broski.
 
Well I figured since I was mostly coming off of the lortab, if it was dangerous the side effects would be minimalized. Perhaps not the best line of thought at the time.
 
Uh, sir you're confused, my mistake bad typing, I meant 1mg of xanax. And I meant is cwe worth it for the future?

The reason he is pissed is because of the above statement. People on Bluelight want to help you, but showing this level of ignorance to the drugs you ingest isn't really something widely accepted on this forum. Just giving you a heads up. Do a little forum search on here before you ingest something that could land you in the ER (not saying opiates and benzos necessarily will). Also another useful note: you could have searched the words "mixing opiates and benzos" and most likely gotten a plethora of information.

in the future i wouldnt mix benzos/alcohol and opiates. A guy i knew died of taking oxy and just drinking a little bit. It really isn't worth it. i've been close to death many times and let me tell you, there is no high that is worth it. Luckily I knew enough not to go to sleep when I could barely breath. I know people with huge tolerance that were on subs that drank a few beers and couldn't breathe. Just don't do it. A lot of people on this site seem to thjink they are invincable, but when reality sets in no regret is gonna take it back. Stick with doing them alone.

EXACTLY. Get it out before it is too late. The only drugs of true value to me are psychedelics. They can help you progress rather than regress. Opiates are good for short term relief of physical suffering. Otherwise have fun chasing the dragon. You'll never get it.
 
There is this phenomenon here of people coming and asking AFTER the fact.

"I just took 10 of the pretty blue pills, snorted 5 white rectangular pills and drank a 5th of vodka. I don't feel so good, will I be ok?"

Then, the OP will get several helpful answers, only to not return for 5 hours to post....

"I still don't feel so good, I am sick to my stomach and dizzy. I just took 3 more of the pretty blues. Am I going to OD and die?"


GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. That is soooooo maddening!




UTFSE BEFORE you ingest the drugs you are considering! And, less is more. If you are new to the drug scene...take your TIME....proceed with caution.

It just kills me that some of these naive people will do like 10 bags of dope all at once their
1st shot, yet insist they smoke "ultra lights" cuz they are bad for them. LOL
 
I don't have time to echo the sentiments of fellow Bluelighters here, so I'm just going to close this.

Hydrocodone and alprazolam is a decent combo for many people, just keep it reasonable (1mg of alprazolam is more than I would opt to take but you don't need to take any more than 1mg of it).

As palli also brought up, please look into doing a CWE next time.
