hello to all, I just registered to BL recently but I have used it as a source over the past few months for various, things. if I am breaking any rules please let me know. I'm not one to ramble, usually, so I'll get strait to the point.
I have started taking wellbutrin xl 150 once a day for depression. I'm about 3 weeks in with no effects. I am aware that both wellbutrin and tramadol can raise the seizure threshold. I know hypothetically they shouldn't be mixed due to the possibility of seizures but I would like to hear experiences from people that have used this combo. Currently I have no tolerance to tram but I used to take it quite a bit a year ago and had no complications from it. So is it common for people to experience seizures when combining these drugs?

I wouldn't do it.. Don't know about the seizure risk.. but it sounds like there is a complication issue.. that's almost like saying can I take a cathinone on tramadol.. I wouldn't do that. and I have experience with both separately.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by," Don't know about the seizure risk.. but it sounds like there is a complication issue". I am aware that there can be complications but I would like to know how common it is for them to occur. For example in the case of combining alcohol and coke there is obviously a risk of heart attack, but many can use the combo with no immediate consequences. Im not epileptic and have never experienced a seizure, and I'm curious if this combo has a high risk for causing seizures even in those who aren't prone to them. The tram dose will be 5 to 6 hours after taking bupropion and I plan on spacing the tramadol out by taking one then 30 min later taking another.

I've not combined the two but I did have a seizure while taking bupropion as directed. Mixing it with something that can also cause seizures is really asking for trouble.

My advice would be not to mix these two. Seizures with both of these drugs seem to come out of the blue. For me it was like time just skipped. No warning just a wrecked car and bitten/swollen tongue as evidence. Very scary

It was over 10 years ago so I don't remember but I took it for a couple of months. I think it was only 150mg/day. One thing I do remember though is that I didn't eat much that day and that was likely a contributing factor since my blood sugar was low when they checked it.

Wellbutrin and Tramadol are not worthy drugs enough to become what is known as abusable or recreational. Avoid.

I too had a seizure on bupropion and now avoid the stuff like the plague. As for Tramadol, it's just an all around shitty substitute for hydrocodone.

I ended up getting off the bupropion, so problem solved, sort of. I tried the tram but it just doesn't work like it used to. It's probably due to the minuscule tolerance I've built to hydrocodone. I guess tram is pretty useless if you have any kind of tolerance lol.
