underground, that's where I be
When I used to do glass or any amphetamine, I thought mixing(two records) was much easier....
I've also heard a buncha people talk about how "jungle music and speed go together"
but... I find NOW I can;t mix on any amphetamines or anything half as good as I can sober...
sober I can mix on three tables... But even a little fucked up I lose, like, a year's equivalancy in mixing skill...
does anyone else notice anything like that?
?

I don't think this is in the right catagorie, but I like the topic!
The only thing that I really can't spin with - is Coke! I get so tense, I really can't do it for some reason.
For me - crystal and glass are compliments of mixing!(I spin Drum and Bass)
We'll come home from a party that was on Friday night, get home early Saturday morning - and spin and do glass till Sunday!
I find I can spin like 4 hour sets with minimal mistakes when I'm tweakin. And plus you don't have to take a break to go to the bathroom!

It's all a matter of opinion as to weather drugs makes you more in tune to the music. Just because people tell you that it's easier to mix on speed doesn't mean it is.

For me... Good ol' herb does the trick, cant really mix when trippin, nor when wasted drunk, I spin 4/4's usually Techno, but glass is very nice when doin hard bangin shit.

It's different for everyone. I believe every human on earth has at least one substance that lets them get more focused and in tune to the music that at least as far as mixing records greatly improves their ability.
For me, it's ecstasy. Not that I'd ever touch the shit again, but the two times I tried spinning while rolling I could just perfectly align the beats. Some of my other friends prefer meth, some coke, some weed, some even alcohol.
The best DJ I know by far does best on coke.

sorry to stray from the subject, SovietContin how come you'll never touch X again, if u dont mind me asking.

Ecstasy was the largest contributing factor to my lifetime prescription of Lithium.
After two years of using it, I couldn't repeat a 10 word sentence someone just said to me. My sleep pattern was about as consistent as a chaos theorum. My IQ probably dropped like 50 points. All my friends were fucking losers who all had the same goal in life: to be the coolest druggy raver ever. By the time I stopped my anxiety attacks were so bad I'd literally shake when strangers talked to me.
That drug fucked me up worse than getting hazed by the Russian army. I'd rather huff gas.

Oh ya, E is bad for sure.
Ya, id have to say smoking some shards makes me focus better than anything else...after a while U get really good at what you are trying to do....but i dont smoke shards anymore.
now i would have to say sobar... I can do it on weed...it doesnt make me mix better but it does make the music sound better
