Opioids Mixing Methadone and Oxycodone

I am on 28 mg of Methadone consumed about 2 hours ago. I just came across some Oxycodone 325/5. Any tips on how much I should take safely? I am about 170 pounds.

I wouldn't recommend mixing the 2, I've been on both. You must have a tolerance to methadone (?)

If you are going to take Oxycodone I wouldn't take more than 1.

Is it for pain?

What do you wish to achieve by taking oxycodone on tope of your methadone? That dose of methadone is not enough to block the oxy very much so start with one or two see how it hits you if you must take the oxy on top.
 
I want to get a buzz at least..
Methadone doesn't really effect me at all anymore I just get little sleepy for a few hours that's all.
 
Okay well percocets are pretty weak compared to methadone so take a couple like I said and see how they work don't expect any miracles though. Don't take too many either because they dont just have oxycodone in them they are full of acetaminophen which can poison your liver.
 
Percocets are weak, true. The thing is your tolerance might increase by adding short acting opiates on top of methadone. Mine shot way up, and then I was in a bad place. 8(
 
Yep we all have to pay the price when we do stuff like this. Tomorrow your methadone may not work as well because your adding more opiates on top of the methadone when your body is used to having the one constant serum level of methadone.

Its up to you though
 
I used/ abused methadone for over 8 yrs and it should not be effecting whether you feel oxys, I know I used to take roxi 15s and 30s with the methadone here and there, and I definitely could feel them.

Methadone is a strange animal, Ive heard more than a few people say it doesnt effect them or get them high, but it sure got me high, as little as 20 mg would get me feeling great for hours (usually around 6 hours), and if I took around 40-60 mg, I would be really high, nodding, no aches or pains, euphoria, motivated as hell to do just about anything too!

Plus, tolerance to methadone takes YEARS to build up, some people can be fine on the same does for 5 yrs or more, but it will KILL your tolerance to other opiates, and usually have to wait about 3-4 days before even have a chance to feel another opiate.

I would strongly advise on taking methadone for too long though, the w/ds are absolute hell, and you will basically be bed-ridden for weeks or months, its almost impossible to come off it on your own, as once you start into the w/ds, you WILL go out and cop something to help, if you have a connection and any amount of money, it is nearly impossible to resist the urge...thats how bad the w/ds are,just keep this in mind before enjoying the done for too long, Id almost advise getting a heroin addiction versus methadone!!
