Mixing gabapentin and pregabalin

Would there be an additive effect by mixing gabapentin and pregablin (Lyrica) ? Do they compete for absorption? Gabapentin has a very poor oral bioavailability while pregablin has a ≥90% bioavailability.

If mixing them, should they be taken some time apart to increase the absorption of gabapentin?

Is there any point in even mixing them to increase the effects of them?

I've mixed before and couldn't tell a difference.

i've done this a few times and i think the lyrica just drowns out an of the gaba's effects

I've used both extensively and have come to the conclusion that they act upon the same system and mutually produce tolerance in the same way. I would be willing to bet that combining them would simply lead to a subjectively stronger Gabapentinoid-type intoxication.
