Mixing Codeine and Alcohol

I have had around a half bottle of vodka tonight, feeling tipsy but not drunk.
Feel like consuming around 90mg of codeine (with 1500mg apap) with a low tolerance, just wondering if this is worryingly dangerous?

have you taken that amount of codeine before? Codeine is the only opiate that makes me hallucinate, so I wouldn't do it. I'd say if you've taken that amount of codeine before, adding in the vodka isn't going be dangerous, but you said you have a low tolerance....
 
I have been taking doses of around 90-150mg, with great effect.

Absolutely no negatives about the high, all positive.
 
Large amounts of APAP in combination with alcohol is just beating the shit out of your liver.

You might want to try a CWE. Search this site if you don't know what it is.

Yeah I know all about CWEs, but I figure that eating only 1500mg of APAP, wont really do much in combo with alcohol.

Decided I will just give it a rest for tonight, but thanks for all the info anyways.
 
I always found codeine and alcohol to be a bad combo, but that's just me. I'd just take the codeine if I were you. Now if it were Hydrocodone that would be a different story, I used to love to mix vicodin and alcohol.

But, yeah, it's all dependent on your tolerance to both drugs, you may be used to the codeine but if you're not used to the vodka on top of it I'd start very slowly with the vodka.

I recommend you read this thread too (even though its too late for you to do a CWE on that codeine now...).

While 1500mg APAP by itself probably would be okay to do, 1500mg APAP + a large amount of alcohol is not okay. While drinking on opiates is fun for some people, I personally think it ruins the opiate high (including codeine's high) after you get past 2-3 drinks, depending on your alcohol tolerance.

While I'm sure you're okay, next time do a CWE or skip the vodka intake. :)
