i currently take 10mgs of xanax a day. sad part is after years i dont get a high from it at all. i just maintain and avoid panic attacks. im thinking about mixing it with a few clonopins tonight. i have some .5's. now i know its like 2mgs of klons to 1mg of xan. the half life of each and the effects that each have on there own. what can i expect mixing them though? i know becareful and not over due it. im not suicidal here. whats a good dose of clon to put up with 6mgs of xans in your friends opinion

I am Rxed Clonazepam and find it helpful for sleep and anxiety (when I take like 5), but substituting a few Clonaz for Xanax would be a good idea. Clonaz has a very long half life so it will stay in your system for a lot longer than the Xanax, making it less likely that you will have to repeat dosages. I found Xanax to be a lot more addicting than Clonaz.

i like klonopin (recreationaly/therapeutically/) much better than xanax. it is more sedative for me.
effects are additive and not multiplicative like benzos and booze. taking .5mg kpin on on top of 10mg xanax would be like taking ,5mg xanax on top of 10mg xanax

Clonazepam actually is dose equivalent to Xanax, therefore 1 mg xanax = 1mg klonopin, i heard one cancels the one out or for example say u take 4mg of xanax, then take 2mg on klonopin u wont feel the klonopin or it will be cancelled out or not felt since the 4mg xanax is over riding the 2mg kpin..from WHAT I HEARD or UNDEERSTAND

you can safely mix benzos but just bear in mind that they are all going to add up, take a look at the equivalency chart linked at the top of the forum for half lives and dosage equivalencies for tons of benzos.
I used to mix xanax and clonaz regularly, I never really felt like they cancelled each other out, mixing any benzos will kind of just make you feel more benzod in general, you can normally pinpoint parts of each benzo in the effects, also remember that different benzos are built for different things, hypnotics, anxiolytics, etc, so even though you might not feel as sedated from mixing two different benzos, one may be more prone to sedation than the other, the effects will still combine though, so don't overdo it.
As a side point, if it is only other benzos that you are planning on combining with xanax then risk of death from OD is pretty low, it's almost impossible to die from a benzo overdose unless you mix with alcohol or other downers, most common risk of death would be doing something ridiculously stupid because you have taken too much and are acting without inhibitions. As I said before, don't overdo it, you could end up very fucked without even realising it, has happened to me in the past on a few occasions.

i just mixed nitrazepam (very strong muscle relaxing propeties), loprazolam (amazing beno) and oxazepam (the least toxic benzo), but a few 50mg pills definately have a bit of a kick, and some methadone, i havn' felt this good since i iV'ed hydromorphone over a month ago

You can mix all the benzos you'd like but if you are just taking benzos you'll just get the benzo feeling. Try to find a new brand of xanax, some generics are much more potent and euphoric <--IMO. Mixing benzos with opiates is a great feeling but not if u are an opiate newbie. Try the xanax/kpins/ and if you can get some Temezepam, and some lorazepam you may find what you're looking for but i doubt it. 10mg of xanax a day for a week is enough to build a serious tolerance to benzos in general, make detoxing a life risking behavior. Also take some Cimetidine (Brand name: Tagamet made for acid reflux) an hour before you take the xanax and wash down the Cimetidine and xanax with 100% pure Grapefruit Juice. Both increase the effect of alprazolam.

I can see the point of using a long-acting benzo in the background and a quick-acting one as top up to manage generalised anxiety with panic disorder, for example, but I can't see there being much point other than for this and it's not common practice amongst psychiatrists. I certainly wouldn't add in any other CNS depressants (opioids, alcohol etc) and bear in mind your tolerance level.
Have you considered speaking to your doctor about your Xanax, if it isn't doing the trick anymore? Have you tried other approaches to treat your anxiety, such as therapy?
