Let me first say that this is my first post on bluelight, although I have been reading posts on it for a long time.
So SWIM has a question, what are the problems with taking Adderall and Vyvanse together?
Recently SWIM was taken off of his 50mg prescription of Vyvanse after he was in mental hospital for over a month for depression. They took SWIM off it because they thought it might be affecting their thoughts. Recently SWIM decided that they wanted to pass their final exams so they purchased 12 15mg capsules of Adderall XR.
SWIM took 2 of them for each time they studied. And 1 one time. Very recently SWIM had taken 100mg of their remaining Vyvanse to get high/ get stuff done. This went well for SWIM. (They were on Vyvanse for over a year before being taken off of it.)
Now to the point of this new thread. SWIM, was tired one day and not thinking his best so they decided that it would be a good idea to take 3 15mg Adderall XR capsules and 1 50mg Vyvanse capsule. SWIM wanted to get stuff done and didn't have his required 100mg of Vyvanse.
The experience of the two medications at the same time wasn't all that bad. The high was that of something SWIM never experienced. However SWIM did notice his increased heart rate which was common for all of SWIMs amphetamine abuse. SWIM could defiantly feel the come down off of the Adderall and luckily SWIMs heart didn't leap out his chest. SWIM knew to keep his heart rate down and reduce physical activity.
(I would like to hear about any feed back on ways to improve future posts of mine, ways to use the third person writing style better and other such things. I also want to hear if anyone else has ever mixed their ADD/ ADHD meds before, and their stories. Thank you and sorry if I put this in the wrong spot or anything like that.)
