Mixing Aderrall along with Xanax (not together)

First of all before anything I have HUGE tolerance for opiates/benzos fro==or==kOK so I took Xanax today and now I want to take Adderall but i don't know if I will feel it that well or not due to the xanax. I took 4mg Xanax at Midnight which was right at midnight my time, my next dose was 4mg Xanax at 1:30am i took another 4mg of Xanax, and lastly at 3AM I took another 2mg. Keep in mind these times are in CST. Now I am prescribed all this stuff as well but my question is since I am prescribed adderall as well, would it be OK to take maybe 30-60mg(I have the instant release 20mg's) and most importantly, will I feel the "up" high? I had a couple buddies of mine tell me that the xanax is going to "kill the 'up' buzz" one usually gets from adderall which I don't want it to go to waste. Appreciate any advice and thanks ahead if tume
 
Well, assuming you mean this from a "there won't be a bad drug interaction" and not a "how can I still get high" perspective, then there shouldn't be an inherent problem with mixing Alprazolam and amphetamine. Alprazolam has a very short half-life anyhow, and is mostly out of the system 3-4 hours after ingestion.

Personally I enjoyed this combo, as it would take the jitters out of the amphetamine high for me, as well as not make me feel too "cracked out" - I also added some oxycodone often, but considering HR - don't do that.
 
Thanks for the quick reply! I may try this! Would you think my normal adderall dose that i take whether Xanax is included or not is even a a factor? So why do you think a decent amount of the people I asked told me "you probably won't feel it as good as you would feel it if you just woke up and took adderall by its self"? my normal dose at once of the instant release adderalls are 2 pills by mouth daily TWUCE a day
 
Start low and work your way up. Nobody can tell you how much your body needs to appreciate what you're trying to accomplish. There's always time for repeat experiments if you take it slow and cautious.

Xanax has such a short half-life (and you appear to have a bit of a tolerance taking those doses), that I'd wonder if it'll do more than make your experience with adderall "peaky" in that you get on/off waves of jitteryness / edginess and back to comfort (if you re-dose).

A better idea, might be to take .5mg of Xanax each, say, hour or so (lower level, but let it build up / maintain instead of being "pushy"). A better benzo for this plan (due to adderall's duration being longer than that of Xanax) might be Diazepam or Clonazepam, if available. They last much longer, and aren't as "noticeable" as Alprazolam is, which in my experience works better for being a "cushion" of sorts when mixing with other things (I most commonly use this w/ LSD as ~.25mg of clonazepam will keep me completely worry-free for the entire duration of the trip w/o detracting from it noticeably).

Regarding the Na-bicarb, yes lowering the pH of your stomach slightly will help. I believe it makes for a quicker onset and slower pass-through. That or it slows everything down, but either way I do know it to be a positive thing.
 
^appreciate the replies so much. Basically what I am trying to achieve is a nice adderall high (when ONLY using adderall, 60mg is what does it for me) so would it be ok to start at one 30mg adderall instant release and work my way up like you said?
 
You should be fine, yes. I would be wary of adding more benzos to the mix aside from a very low therapeutic dose.

Personal experience:

I used to insufflate 30-60mg of IR (got the 30mg's for a while, recreationally) to get where I wanted to be. Less than 20-25mg and I just felt like I had drank too much coffee (read: like shaky ass), but after that I'd get an appreciable rush. I also had an oxycodone tolerance of ~30mg at the time, +/- 15mg given the day. I'd often use either: Xanax (Alprazolam), Ativan (Lorazepam), or Valium (Diazepam) in the same lines as well, but not taking more than 1mg Xanax or equivalent.
 
Yes, but just be careful when mixing benzos and amphetamines.

There is a small group of people, me being one of them, that experiences severe depression from certain benzos, especially diazepam (not so much xanax)

one time I took some diazepam to sleep after an adderall binge, which was stupid because I knew that valiumes made me super depressed but I did it anyway.

The depression from that combination was the worst I have ever experienced. I consider myself emotionally stable and I don't ever cut myself, but to this day I still have scars on my left arm from cutting with a screwdriver... I cut my arm, chest, and even my face. I was a bloody mess, and never since have I ever taken a benzo.

Not saying this will happen to you, but if you have a history of feeling depressed with benzodiazapines... don't do it
