I have recently been prescribed Trazodone 50mg for insomnia, I take two every night and they seem to be working wonders. I was previously taking about 2mg of Xanax every night for sleep but they eventually stopped helping. I am also prescribed 30 mg Adderall xr for ADHD. I usually take my Adderall around 9 or 10 am and always have a very uncomfortable comedown and never ever sleep (unless I take xanax) and I have always had trouble sleeping even before I began taking Adderall. My question is about how Trazodone helps with the amphetamine comedown and if it will still help my insomnia if I have Adderall in my system. I stopped taking the Adderall when I was prescribed the Trazodone because the lack of sleep was ruining me. I really do not wish to go back on xanax because I feel myself getting addicted to the drug and that is the last thing I want. Any advice of personal experience would be great!
