mix with tobacco?

yeah i have past that stage now, that used to happen when i first started out bout 2 years ago.
you could say i have matured as a mj smoker. Its an inevitable process for most, but for some, (the guys i used to smoke with), they still have yet to move on. 8) :\

this is the same with me - the vast majority of my friends mix their tobacco and weed, but i hate to do it. of course, theirs "lasts" longer than mine, but it also means i'm not quite so addicted, and i'm saving myself from all the shitty aspects of tobacco. and i *love* smoking it green...it also means that on the odd occasion that i do have a mixed cone, i generally get a big head rush from all the nicotine - it's great =D
 
so..? do you combine your pot with tobacco? if so, give us all the reasons why, we'd like to hear them very much !! =D
 
pure weed joint burn too quickly

ive tried pure pot joints a few times.. i didnt like them because it seemed to burn really quick.. just my 2cents i dunno if anyone else has had the same problem
 
Well i spin it, why

i find gear lasts lots longer, the joint has more flavour and taste, burns a lot slower and lessens the amount you loose while it is burning off, it kills my immidiate urge for a ciggerettes..


infact i was having a talk to my brother about it the other day and we noticed that other countries prefer there joint to last longer - i would say generally in the USA compared to say the UK that the USA prefer smaller joints (containing same amount of gear) to smoke longer and keep re-lighting it, where as the uk prefers longer more stylish looking joints which smoke smooth...

i guess its the 'different folks, different strokes' but that what i thought
 
Pot+Tobacco=blasphemy, plain and simple.
There is no reason to mix such beauty with such filth, that is unless you're a smoker, in which case, have a cigarette as an after-toke.
all the mixing does for me is make me sick and ruin the wonderful taste of weed.
 
As my fellow Dutchman - Blowmonkey - wrote, I guess it has a lot to do with the quality of the weed.

The weed I bought when I was 19 (which is like 20 years ago !!) was OK for rolling 'pure' joints. It was weed from Colombia or Tailand. We smoked that weed when we wanted to sober up after smoking lots of hash...really!

Then (at least here in Holland) the scientists took over. They developed all these super strong herbs, like White Widow, Skunk, Northern Lights and so on. Man, that stuff is so goddamn strong that you cannot smoke it pure....you would pass out after two draws......

I'm not sure about the quality of weed in the rest of Europe (my guess is: strong), the USA (no idea) and so on. Ideas?

I live in Alkmaar and what you say about that stuff that nordern light and white widow...shit man i'd smoke it pure right now ',I'm always in for a good one but serieously i also smoke cigarettes so yes i roll with tabaco but not a lot though, just a little nip(say about ...wait a minute ...measuring...1/10 of a cigaret) I don't know why but I do so where do you live thc Rider?

He Splatt man, you might be a moderator but that does not mean you just can say some shit you don’t know about, man i want to let you know that i have some good dry(yes very dry indeed) shit in my pocket but not for long
 
I do about a 30%(bacco)/70%(weed) mix and chop it up to a fine powder. It doesn't matter if it's wet or not i just tend to like the tobacco feeling, improved taste, smoother hits. Oh, and i don't smoke ciggies.

b) if it's that much of a problem, did it ever occur to you to roll a smaller joint?

i've smoked in a passel of countries and i can tell you this: good pot is rougly the same everywhere. people that say 'my country x has the best weed' seem to have more often than not never smoked anywhere else.

i can make a couple calls and get as hq pot as can be had anywhere else, and i would never stick nasty tobacco in any of my joints. there's plenty of other herbs you could smoke instead that are less disgusting - i remember a thread about this fairly recently.

90% of the time, after i smoke a bowl, joint, blunt, whatever. i will smoke a menthol. i dont know how many other people do it, but thats just what me and my 'people' do. feels pretty cool, too
 
I probably put less tobacco in my mix than anyone I know - about half a cigarette per gram. And then its to help it burn better - yes you are right frizz it's the crappy wet weed I get from time to time. But now that I have read that it decreases the THC I will stop.

I think here in Australia (and I believe it's just the eastern states as south australians don't mix) it has become a cultural thing. It's definitely shitty though as some people put so much in you need to smoke much more than necessary to get high, and dealers get away with selling wetter weed. Unfortunately I don't think it will change because people think it makes it last longer.

And if it too much when straight, roll smaller joints.
