I dunno why, but i did.
A weekend filled with random interactions
put nothing but smiles on my face.

I missed ya today.
Thought about calling.
prolly get your voice mail.
the sweet sound of your voice
politely telling your adoring fans
that you can't come to the phone right now.

Someone told me that you even sound sexy.
I keep a couple of your messages close to me,
as if you're next to me, lying down,
your breath against my neck,
or sitting shotgun
turning a roadtrip.
holding my hand,
smiling next to me.

it's sweet that we can have this.
Where there used to be two,
now, three.
and even though
distance will separate us
from one another's touch.
It still makes it all worth it.
just to know I made you smile.

couldnt of put this into more appropriate words. i really liked this peice...there are people in my life right now who i see often even on daily basis who i still miss when they arent around...just the lil things they do that make me miss them more..more than i know i should.

This poem really 'bridges a gap' in that even though I dont identify with the feelings they come through very strong as though I'm feeling them myself, right now.

I love the repetition and the brevity of the lines, they give a feeling of being overwhelmed and breathless by love.
