i was shooting 2,1/2 30mg roxis into the vain above my bicep. it registered realy good so i went ahead with the shot. once i got bout 1/4 of the shot in, i released the turniquet and it hit the syringe. i stoped rite away, and pulled the needle out. i now have a teeny bump at the injection site, and it burns just a little bit. im pretty sure i only missed a tinny bit. am i in trouble??

P.s.

P.S. im realy nervous, this is my first miss. its been 20 minutes since the miss, and it no longer burns. its just a bumpt under the skin, about the size of a pimple. and now i cant realy feel the bump anymore, it seems to be going away. it does look just a little bit bruised. Like i said, it was a very small amount. i had pushed in aproximately 10-15 units of the solutions, when i released the turnoquet and it bumped the syringe. i think when it bumped the syringe it knocked the needle out of the vain. so i think i just missed a tiny bit, not the whole 10-15 units. im just realy nervous because ive heard people on here say that i will have to go to the doctor or hospital if i miss, and some other stuff.

anyones reply would be really appreciated. im nervous.

thanks guys

p.s. i know what im doing is stupid, please try not to remind me. thanks

ok 1 hour later, the if i push down on the injection site with my finger, i feel a little hard spot. it feels smaller than 1/4 inch, and its a little sore. but only if i push on it.

some one please tell me something!!!

You'll probably be alright. No one here can tell you for sure tho, so if it's a concern you should go see a doctor.

You'll know when you need to go to the hospital, trust me, you'll be alright.

I freaked the first time i missed a little bit to, but it went away eventually, you'll be left with a yellowish spot the next few days, no worries.

thanks guys. yea it was just a little bit. i just read that i should run hot water over the area, and apply pressure. one guy said to push down on the area and rub in a circular motion? what do you think? to me that seems ike it would irritate it

You can massage it to make the swelling go down faster though it is not necessary.
Hot compress and/or ice work as well.

You're fine though. Chill out.
And don't bump your thread times in an hour; we will post back eventually!

Just leave it alone and let it go away on it's own.

Maybe just run hot water on if your worried.

It couldn't hurt to put a hot compress on it, just wet a towel or cloth with hot water (not searing hot) and apply it to the area with firm pressure.

Honestly man, it sounds like you didn't miss much at all. I have done this a few times with meth and it's always been fine. This, however, does not mean there's not a chance that something will go awry with your small miss - particularly working with injecting pills, there's always a chance of abcesses and such.

Keep an eye on it. If it becomes tender, red, more raised or grows in size at all go to the doc and get it checked out as it could be an abcess, the consequences of which people have lost limbs to before (and if not a limb loss, have attained some hideous looking scarring and injury).

STILL, doesn't sound like your is much to stress over, so don't beat yourself up over it.

I wouldn't recommend releasing your tourniquet halfway through a shot again. Push needle in, register, release tourniquet, re-register and inject. Is a tourniquet 100% necessary for you to find your veins? I've always found them cumbersome. Try doing some push-ups/bicep curls or taking a hot shower before doing your shot to make your veins pop out.

You need to relax as well as learn to use the site... If you had checked the directory or searched you'd find dozens of threads on this subject.

Foulplay and baybe covered this and for god's sake, don't bump your thread once, let alone as many as you did. It will only deter people from helping, not expedite responses.
