Missed shot of subutex in foot!

Hi everyone!

I really, really need advice. I know what i did was stupid and highly. Unreccomended.

So had my last pill of subutex, usually recently i have been shooting them. I am not so good at it. Could only get veins to pop out in my feet. So i decided to go on the top of my foot. I was pulling needle back, plenty of blood was pulling back and after an hour of trying to hit i just decided to go for it, pushing it in, it did burn but i was frustrated sick and didnt want to waste another one because i could hit (wasted about 5) i pushed it all the way in. This was yesterday late morning. Progressively through out the day the pain got worse. Around 7pm, started to swell and couldnt even walk on my foot. Today still swollen, told mom was bug bite. She wants me to go to the hospital. The foot has turned red, but no red lines going up my leg wchich i was told i can rule out infection. I have missed before in other spots but nothing this bad. Anyone have any advice. Im scared if i go to hospital, they will know exactly what it is and id get in trouble. Would they buy the whole bug bite think? Would i get treated correctly if they did? Someone please help, im in tears n dont know what to do!:(
 
well, as you know, shooting pills is bad for you. missing shots with pills is really not good for you, and can easily turn into an abcess. now I shoot my morphine pills everyday, have missed a few times, but so far no problems other than the spot was hurting and swollen for a day.

but my main reason to even looking in this thread and to reply was to tell you to not shoot into your foot unless you've blown every other vein in your body. I know it looks so easy just the way them veins pop out so easy on your foot. but trust me, they're small, they roll, and its just a bitch to keep the needle in. don't do it from now on. either learn how to do it on your arms for now, or don't shoot.
 
Thank you for responding but im scared , im reading about ganggreen and all negative stuff. Its red, swollen been 24 hours, progressively got worse at present it has stayed same......someone tell me something i should do where i wont get in trouble! Its red, warm, swollen and i cant apply pressure to that foot, i keep it up so no blood rushes to it but once i put it down it kills. I really am scared!
 
@OP:

You need to get an antibiotic asap (i.e. go see a doctor). You'll likely to get a Cephalosporin derivate prescribed. Cefalexin is what i've had in a similar situation.
 
getting into trouble should be the least of your worries. this is how people die, they're scared they'll get grounded or something. gonna have to go to the hospital bud. if you were worried about your parents knowing, then you shouldn't have been shooting drugs. subutex works wonderful orally. and you could've even taken doses low like 2mg and stayed off sick.

but really, its lookin' like you might have to go to the hospital. if you can, get a friend to take you, that way you're parents shouldn't find out. I'm not sure how the hospital works if you're under 18.
 
Go see a doctor now! missing in your foot is bad because of the lack of circulation down there makes it harder for your immune sysyem to respond. also missing a whole pill is very likely to cause an abcess. But again doctor or ER now. not later now. If your under 18 you gotta bring your parents if your in the states which really sucks.
 
I've had this problem before in my hand, missed a shot of h, went to hospital after twenty four hours and they gave me antibiotics, it was exactly as your describing, go now
 
Where to start...
1. If you IV in ur foot successfully elevate it afterwords.
2. If you miss....massage the hell out of it (not roughly) consistently for an hour or so. Also elevate it for 15sec every few minutes.

Also if your using a tourniquet, make sure you take it off before removing the syringe. If you dont you will get a blood blister(lump) its harmless but it can leave a bruise.
