Hey guys,
A friend of mine recently missed a shot in his foot and the swelling he is describing is alot like an aterial shot but he explains steadfast that it was a registered shot that came out of the vein and basically injected around 1/2cc into the foot area like a skin pop.
After I explained to him, from my experience, what an arterial "shot" was like, He said it didnt give any of the immediate effects of what a aterial shot would, such as immediate striking, numbing, pain thru the extremety as well as numbness and swelling, what instead he got was a post-24hr feeling of numbness in the injection area and swelling 36-48hrs post injection.
We hashed it over for about 15-20 minutes because i thought that he had struck an artery based on my own experience with that but he says he never has and as i explained to him the immediate, striking effects of an aterial shot he disagreed completely and thinks he's just dealing with some post-issues regarding what would essentially be akin to a skin pop since he was registered, then either was too far out or too far back to be "in".
I've never experienced this but can any skin poppers chime in and explain how the typical skin pop after-effects are, especially if you chose a non fatty area such as the foot or arm, i've muscled once in the buttocks but i dont think thats the same, is a 36-48hr post site numbing and swelling typical?
