Hello all i was wondering if anyone here can help me.
I am prescribed morphine for my back and i will sometimes crush and shoot them maybe 4 to 5 times a month, but i make sure the solution is crystal clear before doing so, not that this makes what im doin any less stupid but anyways i also get oxycontin sometimes from the doc instead and the same thing if i crush i make it crystal clear before shooting it, anyways i just missed my vein but it didnt hurt at all, not even a tiny bit, ive missed with the morphine b4 and it hurts a bit. My question is with oxycontin will it be more likely to cause an absess, ive never gotten an absess b4 from morphine and this is the first time ive missed with oxycontin. Its not red or anything but im just a little concerned. Its good in a way because ive cut down on the amount of times i shoot them because im trying to stop doin that so maybe this will make me stop quicker.
Also should i try draw some out or would that just be futile bec there is no lump anymore because i applied compression afterwards.
Also the only time i do this is when im in extreme pain and only because i was told that when injected its 3 times more effective for pain due to the low bioavailability of morphine taken oraly, is this correct? It seems to be a little more effective on my pain compared to crushing and drinking the solution but certainly not 3 times as much, but when in extreme pain every extra little bit of releife is welcomed. I realy want to know about this bec if its not true i might as well stop doing it entirely because its not as if it gives me any kind of high bec ive been on these meds for so so long ..
