Opioids missed my methadone dose to please help?

ive been on 90mg methadone daily for the last year i used meth to kick my verry bady oxy habbit and today i went to the clinic and they closed early so i didnt get my dose so i still have alot of 0xys irs and i am curious to how much oxy id need just to get me thru today my old oxy habbit was 500mg a day but didnt know the correct way to convert 90mg meth to oxy so if anyone can help id be greatful thank you

If you have been on methadone maintenance, you have a large build up of it in your system. That combined with its very long half life, you will most likely be totally fine only skipping a day. It takes a good few days of taking no methadone before you start to feel withdrawals because it takes that long for it to leave your system.

I echo this completely. That's one of the benefits of methadone and why it's used. It has a lovely long half-life (approx 2 days) so missing a single dose will be okay.

Whatever you do, don't start gobbling up Oxy's again to make up for it.

Just my advice but if you're coming off of Oxy's and you have methadone, yet still 'have a lot of oxys'... flush the fuckers down the toilet. That's like a recovering alcoholic keeping a bottle of whiskey in the cupboard. It's just bad news, it only takes one moment of reckless thinking and you'll be back on them.

Follow your methadone plan, flush the Oxy's, look forward to embracing a better life

^^what they said. Using those oxy's to make up for your dose would be foolish if you want to maintain recovery. It could very likely respark your addiction. And even having them around is like setting yourself up for failure. I'm on suboxone maintenance, and if I couldn't get it refilled for some reason and had some oxy's stashed away, I KNOW I'd be back at em full throttle. If I were u I'd dispose of them somehow.

You can go up to two days before going into serious withdrawal from Methadone. You might feel a bit off but you will be fine. Take some Immdodium. I've gone two days without my dose; That's coming from a seven year 2g-3g day heroin habit and 4 years on 100mg of Methadone every day. Toss in that I have a fast metabolism, am taking the thyroid hormone T3 to increase my metabolism further, and am on 5 different anabolic steroids at any given time. If I can make it three days you sure as hell can.

Don't use the Oxycodones. Fucking flush them. Like Rybee said, it's like an alcoholic keeping a bottle of whiskey in the cupboard. All that shit will do is fuck with your head sitting wherever it's stashed. You might think of it as a security blanket but in reality it's just a liability to your well being at this point. I don't know about you clinic but giving a dirty urine at mine will screw me over by making me lose a take home dose. I only have to go every 2 weeks because I never gave a dirty urine before. Honestly, you won't get high for nothing on the Oxys you have.

i appreciate all the great advice and i can certinly understand why it could be bad thing forsome to have around the main reason i got off them was to better myself because id go thru my script and then spends thousands on more but the OXY really stopped getting me high all toghter and since ive been on done i dont get any cravings in the slightest and now im building my life back up i hit rock bottom my LIFE BEFORE WAS GREAT i was 18 growing some of calis finest had 6 1k hps lights and was pulling in a good harvest every month making a decent living collecting guns and avidly skeet shooting and many many other things from race cars to mini bikes i had it all and let me tell you OXY AINT NO JOKE i ended up pretending to be intrested in my oxy dealer just so i could get free pills it worked out great for awile but he began to relize i wasnt gay becuase id never hug nor kiss him lmao thank god i didnt get that bad and also selling every last thing i had i ended UP STEALING MONEY FROM MY WIFE MOM GRANDPARENTS AND FRIENDS and i was the worst kind of addict and i am WAY TO HAPPY AND THANKFUL FOR FINDING METHADONE i honeslty plan on staying on maintenace for ever and i am perfectly fine with that this drug was a godsend for me so yesterday when i didnt get my meth i ended up doing about 220mg oxy and it made no diference i didnt get high nor feel any relaxation so i am really happy i didnt care for it like i used to but now i know i cant ever go back to living that way its way to hard and this way is so much eaiser for me im building my life back im starting to have possessions again and love it so if anyone reading this has a horrible addiciton and your ready to quit id recomend trying methadone its not for evey1 but worked great for me and thanks to everyone on here
