I think they're pretty easy to decipher really. Although I also always thought he was saying "Here we are now entertain us" - one of us would appear to have just fulfilled the brief of this thread

(unless it's summat else entirely of course)

Nah, it most definitely is 'entertain us'. Though 'entertainers' would have been apposite enough for that song in particular that even ol' Kurt's perma-frown may have given way, if just for a fleeting moment.
