No the doctor never said it was related to the remeron, it just seems like it to me. When I stopped taking it was when the sleep problems started and I never had that problem before I took it. I took it for about 5 years though. I guess it might have been there the whole time and just showed itself when I stopped taking remeron....
Actually delayed sleep phase syndrome was what the Sleep Specialist said it was but it seems like it changed now. The treatment he gave me was to stay up later every night until I got to normal hours of sleeping and waking. I have been stuck doing that for about a year now. I can't quit. So I go to sleep and wake up at a different time every day.
Don't rely on remeron for long periods of time... it will really come back to haunt you. It did for me at least.
