cjheck bottom of page and help pleaseIt worked well for me. I was on it for over a year. @ 15mg/day, it did a good job of reducing my anxiety and depression in general. I found it a little too sedating to take during the day, so I took in before bedtime. I slept wonderfully for the first time in many years. My dose was increased to 30mg/day after being on it for a while to reduce the sedation and increased appetite. The noradrenergic effects kick in a little more at higher doses.
is mirtazapine like an opoiate
i'm using it for anxiety. it's not like panic attack anxiety i don't even need benzos (not that i could get them prescribed because my psychiatrist knows i use drugs). i'm hoping it will give me that very light sedative/relaxing effect as well as a mood boost that i didn't get from citalopram. so far it's doing the job.
I already have more energy during the day and increased sex drive.
