I'm currently on 30mg Mirtazapine for my depression and anxiety.

It has definitely helped with my depression but I still have chronic anxiety.

I'm thinking if I up my dose to 45mg will it help with my anxiety?

I'd also like to hear about anyone who has had success with Mirtazapine?

My friend swears by it, and she has quite severe depression. Regarding upping your dose that is really something best discussed with your doctor.

I'm the opposite, mirtazapine at 30mg really helped my general anxiety (and sleep) I still occasionally have anxiety attcks but I have lorazepam for that. As far as my depression goes it did nothing for it...this is partly because I know the reason that's causing it and no anti-depressant is going to help with that. I sometimes up my dose for a couple days usually after taking opiates but mirtazapine raises my blood pressure so I never keep it higher than the prescribed dose for long.

I normally just up my medication on my own and let my doctor know later.

I'd advise you not to do this.
