Just to brush up your history, morphine was first isolated in 1802 or 1803 by some French pharmacists and was available shortly after. Its true its popularity peaked with the invention of the hypodermic syringe in the 1850s, but it was used for 30 to 40 years before that. And laudanum goes back to medevial times. So opiates were in the west, just not used very socially till maybe around the American Civil War.
 
just chippin' in to say i'm so white i injected myself with a research chemical to make myself darker. it worked ok.

Didn't really mean the normal traditional non-racist skinhead, but neonazi skinheads. I've watched few documents about some prison neonazi skinhead gangs (Aryan brotherhood and Nazi low-riders) who has gangs outside also, they deal with meth and also use it. It seems ok because Nazis did it on second world war and for neonazis there is always "racewar" going on, so if they think they are in war so must meth use is ok. There is actual term "needle-nazi". I'm more interested on this subject. I'm ashamed to admit that I was also neonazi skinhead on my teenagers until I came to my senses, but now I live in interracial relationship, have black, asian and and arab friends and hate racism and racist people and neonazis are the worst. I'm really interested on this subculture. I've actually met some speed using neonazi skinheads. Amd manny oldschool neonazis have tied from drug ods.
