Minor chest stiffness after rolling

On friday and saturday night I dropped 1 goog each night and noticed on sunday afternoon that I had a slight left stiffness in the upper left area of my chest. It isn't really hurting and it isn't making it hard for me to breath, my heart beat seems to be also at a normal rate. I haven't really been dropping googs for that long and i'd usually do 1-2 pills when I do.

I was just curious to see if anyone else has had a similar experience before and whether it went away after after some period of time? I'm curious also to know as whether it might be worth seeing my local GP just to make sure everything is ok?

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Hey nemo12, welcome to the forum and thank you for asking as this is a good topic.

Chest pain has a diversity of meanings. It can be a life threatening medical emergency, a sign of a respiratory/heart disease(Even acid reflux) or it could be caused by anxiety. Most any individual with a little medical knowledge will say to always treat chest pain as a medical emergency and visit the ER. A good idea would be to visit your doctor and have an EKG done to give some clarity as to if it is a heart issue.

Moving on. The next cause is anxiety. Many times after a stimulant has worn off the "fight or flight" effects remain. If one becomes self-conscious about their chest being a little tight or their heart rate, it is not uncommon for the chest tightness to escalate. Anxiety mimics the symptoms of a heart attack quite well. To the point that a lot of people run to the ER convinced they're dying. Although a panic attack is probably not going to kill you, it's best to know that the unpleasantness can be ended with a benzodiazepine and concentration on your breathing. Breathing too quickly will lead to hyperventilation which will multiply the intensity of panic episode.

Now many amphetamines also dilate the bronchial tubing. There has been word that while these stimulants are wearing off, they cause minor chest pains as the tubing begins to constrict. This may be the reason why those not suffering heart issues or anxiety experience minor chest pain.

Cliff Notes:
1) Clarify your heart health, cholesterol, resting BP and HR (sober)
2) Recognize whether you have been experiencing anxiety symptoms during use. Many who have it may feel reluctant to admit it.

Took my first pill ever on Saturday night and seem to have the same symptom. Have a bit of tightness across the chest and woke up with it being quite uncomfortable. When I woke up last night, it felt painful to take deep breaths, but I checked my heart rate and it was 59bpm which is relatively normal. Otherwise, I'm healthy and fit. Was a bit spooked last night but feel a good bit better today (still a bit of tightness but nowhere near as bad). From what I've read, I ought to feel a lot better by Thursday/Friday? Is that accurate?

I didn't have any hangover on the Sunday really, but felt a bit rough last night and not feeling great today (probably due to my lack of sleep). I think it'll be a once off experience for me, I wanted to see what it feels like and I had a great time... but it's not worth feeling like this again.

Funny thing with this is, it doesn't hurt to take deep breaths. Could I possibly just be over thinking things?

I think I seem to have the same thing, did it feel kinda funny around your left side of your upper chest? Almost like something is trying to pull upwards?

Yeah, I had tightness around my upper left side but also just at the very bottom of my ribs. Any pain has gone away now and I more or less feel back to normal thankfully. I was freaking out a bit last night though. 8(

When I was big into mdma doing it every friday and saturday for awhile I had pains right in my heart a stabbing pain with every heartbeat right as I was coming up in the club one night. The next few times I rolled I wokeup with the exact same pain in my heart, not chest right in my heart. It would go with my beat too, it would get so bad I even had to cringe. However I did chill out and the pains stopped even when I roll now, but at the time I went to the doctors twice and got ekgs done and all that everytime it was fine. I thought they were crazy because I had these intense pains but everything they said was fine. Who knows what it could be, can't say mdma is good for your heart. However since serotonin plays a role in pain perception it could be something that you normally wouldn't feel and isn't even that big of a deal but you feel because of the lack of serotonin.

Whatever the case get it checked out with your doctor because nothing comes close to your health. The assurance you'll have when they say everything is fine is the best feeling as well.
