I'm Ree, also lurking and investigating for a while until I had a few questions or opinions so joined. I like to try to know what I'm doing now that my crazy and self-destructive days are behind me so i use this site to help make informed opinions (and I like to read others' experiences too, doesn't everyone?).
Now: THC, clonazepam, DHC Continus, hydro, tramadol in order of enjoyment and frequency.
Then: Everything except IV with a 20-year major in alcohol and cocaine, with about a year daily of the good old original MDMA thrown in for good measure. Life and health got in the way (pancreatitis a couple time, some legal trouble and some love trouble) and I learned to grow up and get a job. Stopped the booze and peruvian marching powder without steps or medallions but I'm still undecided on my higher power so I can't comment on that.
I had a five-month run through the most famous Minnesota treatment facility but my experience was not a positive one and I wont offer any feedback except there are much better ways of spending that kind of money.
Probably some good justificatin' on my part but my use of any substances now is secondary to making sure everyday life responsibilities are met and I try to minimize any health risks when using ('cept cigs, see below).
I'm an accomplished musician and I do believe that some substances enhance the enjoyment of both listening to and performing music. I also have seen other musicians (friends) utterly destroyed and in some cases killed by this connection. I think the creative mind is naturally more susceptible to psychological addiction.
Quitting cigarettes on my upcoming birthday, don't know if it's better for you or not but I'm also getting myself a present of a good vaporizer. Off to find some reviews!
Geez that's kind of long, I'll try again: Hi, I'm Ree and a new member.
Good luck,
Ree
