sure but a.c.a.b. is from the blitz song "all cops are bastards"(the british oi band)but i remember the crusty hells(not in to crust myself, i like good old fashioned punk rock..."77'"or 80's style hardcore i love it! i was in a band called the smeggz and we played a lot with bands like the murderers and the band that really helped us and were our good friends were the quincy punx, the quincy punx are playing soon too! they have not played a gig in some time,anyway,we played a lot of basement shows in the 90's and i went to many, i also played in onward to mayhem(smeggz guitar players and my best freinds other band)also ended up playing in our bass players other band"the menstrual tramps with whom i toured as well,but yes mpls had a good thriving basement punk show scene,we also played 7th street entry a lot(twice or more with the murderers, also with bands like the midnight evils and video nasty)i miss those days soooo much i cant even tell you! especially since i went out with a junked out fizzle.....at first it started to become a challenge to get shows as people started to consider us a"junky band" and it became progressively harder and harder to get shows(we didnt have habits yet but loved to shoot dope,while the hypocrits that called us that were shooting meth)then when i did get a habit i sold my drums(which were a family heirloom of sorts)when i was really sick and in a tight spot, this decision haunts me to this very moment:(.
 
My bf works in Minneapolis, so I go on 'long' visits to see him... I'm from Detroit and for the past two years I've divided my time between Detroit and Minneapolis while hes stayed here for the two years and I've never seen BTH and the dope we do get it cut to shit I love coming to see him but I count on not getting high it sucks I wish I could find this 70% shit... Funny thing is we live in South Minneapolis arrgggg
 
Minneapolis shit is the bomb. Unfortunately all the Mexican tar is basically wiped out. All that's left is blacks selling powder, which isn't a bad thing, it's good shit, if you know the right people, but more expensive. There is still some tar around, but it used to be a flood, I mean everywhere 2009-2012ish, rehabs were constantly full, and everybody's friends were suddenly getting habits.

I miss the days (2-3 years ago) Mexicans where everywhere, would meet you at your corner the second after you called them like clockwork, and were nice, safe, and had really good (65% ) tar for the classic dope price (you know what I mean)

As always, it's all about who you know. I've found probably 80% powder from geeky looking young white kids, and sometimes the really popular huge gang that has served you everyday for a year suddenly gives you a bag of powdered sugar

P.s. for tar, 65% is incredible considering what percentage of it is made up of alkaloids. But alas, those days are over

H is extremely potent in Minneapolis right now. Tar from Mexico distributed by the Mexican guys is extremely potent, 75% isn't rare and is sometimes on the weak end. Powder typically comes from Chicago and is stereotypically distributed on the north side these days and can really vary in potency. As far back as the late 90's when I first got into H, there were some guys selling powder cut with Fentanyl, I overdosed almost fatally once many years ago..I'm guessing it's still happening today. I have been off opioids for years but am still exposed to the local drug culture via my profession. Naloxone is indeed available in the TC area via a couple organizations. I'm brand new here and unsure if I can name them? Anyway, hope everyone stays safe and stays positive!

I am going to report this post because I want to know if you are allowed to post which orginizations are supplying Naloxone up here Im sure JohnnyBlue will say no, however this is extremely valuable information in the HR community. I would love it if I knew where to send people for Naloxone, its an opiate battle here with death and Naloxone shortages.

EDIT: Yes Fentanyl cut is still very popular here unfortunately

This is no secret. Not sure why you assumed otherwise. Mods have even talked about the classes you can take to get it in this very forum.

I've done a little digging and I couldn't find anywhere in Minnesota that does the narcan classes. I even found an article saying that the state was behind the times in that respect but, the article was from 2012. If anyone has any info regarding this please post.

If the government made narcan availible to save lives then in their minds they are condoning drug use .
 
Ya know that may be true, I know as far as clean needles these days they're the only game in town and all they do is provide some pharmacies with needle disposal crevices so they will just agree to SELL needles to anyone w/o a script for insulin( I know, I have been having a hell of a time finding the right pharmacy , finally found one on the east side of saint paul:-(, it's so dumb.
 
Hey what up. I just started using h like year ago here in minneapolist. I never seen that tar that you guys talk about. I only see the white powder from north e that comes from chicago.
 
I haven't seen bth in years since living in fl and it was for only a month or so. Would love to get my hands on it here in mpls.
 
Back in 2010 there was bomb everywhere. Mostly powder, after that 2012 bust things went downhill. It does seem to have moved from south to north mpls
 
Wish i had more time to spend in minneapolis tonight. Looks like a pretty good sized city with lots of shit happening. Only here for a flight layover until 11 am tomorrow so not trying to hit it on foot tonight. Ill be back though.

This is the newish reliable organization that is housed within Valhalla Place, the methadone clinic at it's Brooklyn Park location. They do Syringe exchanges on site and possibly via transport but more importantly They do Narcan trainings on the first Friday of the month with a physician who prescribes ampoules. I wish I would have been here sooner as they literally just had one two days ago. Adam is the person in charge of that operation and will have a wealth of information even to a degree I don't, probably.

Stivs, I have to know who you are and I'm sure we have some mutual friends at the very least. I've pretty much seen all the bands you mention at various points primarially in the mid-late 90's. The Murderers were definitely a favorite of mine and I still spin the seven-inch and even the picture disc/CD on occasion, also have Video Nasty stuff, Onward To Mayhem came around after I was already out of going to shows to much but I bought the first 7". I collect records insanely, so I have everything. I was typically pretty loaded myself in those days but I do remember the Murderers covering I believe No Feelings or possibly Bodies by the Pistols at a Whole show as I was getting kicked out for smuggling in a huge jug of wine and being crazy; I was so pissed because I had never heard The Murderers do any cover at all. These days I look like a typical random dude but I still go to Extreme Noise pretty regularly and shows on occasion.

I also have a private Counseling practice that provides harm-reduction resources and person-centered counseling, locally.

Oh and I don't put 'misinformation' out there as someone suggested, last week I was at the Hennepin County forum with the Sheriff, physicians the senator responsible for Steve's Law, others in the addiction field and though powder heroin is what is largely available and extremely pure in MN (all of MN, not just inner-city or even suburban, we're talking small town MN) tar is still an issue from Mexico and is being tested as some of the purest in the US at this time.

Yes, yes, yall. Also, of course Steve's Law has also passed, allowing police to carry and administer Narcan as well as limits reprisal/arrest possibilities for good Samaritans who call ambulance/police in overdose situations. Progress, progress!
 
How do addicts in Minnesota get Narcan? Personally I am now prescribed (subs) however I do have to young family members that are shooting daily and I need to find somewhere they can get it.

I am looking for a specific location near Minneapolis, needle exchange, pharmacy etc...? Is it possible

Mods as far as I know Naloxone sourcing is allowed correct me if I am wrong.

Talk to the guys at the needle exchange. They are really cool and very helpful! They should be able to point you in the right direction. I was just there yesterday and they were telling me how to get it, but I lost the paper they gave me.
 
I haven't been in the scene for awhile, kinda missing it actually. Right now I'm on subs after briefly being off them.

I was using heavily back in 2011-2012 when the black tar was everywhere. It was glorious. I was able to get some in 2013, but after dude fell off the map and disappeared it's all been powder over Northside (the hood Northside, not the nice Northeast area). Personally, I hate having to go over North to score. Dealers are shitty and I've yet to find pretty much any consistent quality product.

Has this been everyone else's experience as well?


Edit: If you're looking for clean rigs, check the MN Aids Project for exchange locations and participating pharmacies. Also, I didn't know the Narcan was a new thing, I've been seeing little vials of it since last year. It's helped a lot of people.
