Hi!
Two questions I want to ask.

#Is this practise helpful for someone who wants to get out of drugs?
#While practising mindfulness, I find it very painful to observe some recurring negative thoughts.

Any suggestions?:)

How do you propose being mindful of your actions is going to help get you out of drugs? It seems your mind is already made up and you want to stop drugs. Mindfulness will not aid you in stopping drugs since you've already had the mind to know you want to stop doing them.

What makes your negative thoughts, negative? That is to ask, what is the nature of your thought, where does it come from --why does it matter? This is a good example of mindfulness. What is it about your reoccurring thoughts that have such weight?
I am of course not asking you to list them. Rather you should be mindful of them, trivialize them, and practice quietness of the mind to offset being mindful :)

exactly.
remember: it's not our thoughts the cause of our dispair, but the relationship we have with them
