On the WIKI it notes that its used for skin treatment and contains steroids etc.

Does anyone know which if any of these other substances would make it into the brew and play any role on your experience?

There are some other compounds other than DMT in mimossa, I know it has some tannins, a very small amount of a betacarboline, and thats pretty much all that I know of, But I am sure there is plenty of other stuff in there.

Mimosa has steroids? New to me. I thought it was N,N-DMT that was responsible for its effects...

Yes: n,n-dmt is the main active ingredient. But as with many plants it also contains several other substances, albeit also in trace amounts and probably most of them are not even active.

I was just curious as these "other" compounds could be what makes mimosa Ayahuasca experence different to viridis Ayahuasca experience.

Im sure its the low level of the mystery betacarboline in mimossa, its why mimossa can be used ALONE for an active oral DMT dose. (or so I have heard)

i've read a little bit about other mimosa alkaloids, but there seems to be little definitive evidence as to their effects. There are even extraction teks for at least one of these other chemicals. yuremamine is present, but its effects aren't well understood.

There's a good thread on it over here
