Mimosa hostilis (Jurema)

in theory does anyone know how much dmt an ounce of Mimosa hostilis (Jurema) inner root bark would contain if the extraction was done in some conventional way.
Im doing this report for school on availability & popularity of DMT today.

Your yield will depend massively on you method of extraction and the proficiency with which you carry it out. If I were you I'd just use google to find out the average DMT concentration found in root bark (it varies a lot), then you can work out an estimated total theoretical yield and then adjust it for how efficient you think your extraction will be.

I'm going to move to Advanced Drug Discussion as you're unlikely to get a useful answer here, but it may well be closed or kicked back over here.
 
While we're on the subject, anyone have experience cultivating this species? I'd love to make it a lovely addition for a lattice in my backyard, not sure if its a perrennial or not, otherwise indoor cultivation would suit me just fine.

I know this is off topic and I plan on UTFSE, just thought I'd add a little steam to the thread, no intentions of derailing the original topic.

cultivating jurema indoors? are you kidding?
where do you live? i'm not quite sure this species really does well on cold weathers. btw it's probably a pain to cut those root barks for the extraction, i don't even know, how is this done? these trees are simply huge 8(
 
Its perennial, it grows to a large tree.

I am growing it indoors at the moment, although the plants are only a few inches tall, I scarified and planted the seeds, in pot noodle pots at the moment xD

Regular watering, they seem to be doing really well.
 
man i wish id been at school and onto it enough to do reports like this when i was younger!!!!!!:\

i can only imagine how much more enjoyable my education may have been!!
 
The widely quoted figure is 0.57%, but those who extract it report anything from practically zero to over 1% ... so I guess 0.57% is a good average.
It will depend quite a lot on the skill of the chemist (and I use that term loosely) extracting it.
