Milwaukee Co. ME attributes death to designer drug

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Milwaukee County medical examiner’s office is attributing the death of a 23-year-old man last May to a designer drug.

According to the medical examiner’s report, Douglas Peters was found dead in the home of a DJ who hosted a party.

Others at the party noticed Peters passed out on a balcony and moved him to a third-floor attic early on May 6. About 4 a.m. the homeowner checked on Peters and he was snoring,

but about 7:20 a.m. others noticed he wasn’t breathing and called 911.

The medical examiner’s office attributes Peters’ death to methoxetamine, a powder that is snorted, swallowed or injected.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports methoxetamine, also known as Mexxy, is uncontrolled in the U.S, meaning it is generally legal to buy, possess and distribute.

blah, this is not good, but who honestly is surprised. Dissociatives will not ever grab the attention of the general public or the government (atleast in the USA) like RC stimulants in particular, as dissociatives are not preferred by a large percentage of drug users and often avoided. So that is a good thing as it may take longer for the US gov to react, but it is unfortunate to see someone die from MXE and for it to be in the media in the US.

I thought I was OD'ing on MXE the first time I did it. I went pretty damn far down the rabbit hole. I have no idea how much I consumed but it was more than I've ever consumed since or seen anyone consume at once. I thought I had broken all of my teeth for example because I couldn't feel any of them in my mouth, this was after I came down a little. It was pretty reckless of me. I subsequently had to take care of a girl on the stuff months later because of an irresponsible dumbass.

I just read this article on another site. He was also under the influence of alcohol and the conclusion of the report is a combination of methoxetamine and alcohol.

But the articles point the finger at the "designer" drug.

Don't combine alcohol with mxe. It greatly potentates the effect that alcohol has on the body.
