Milk Addiction.

Definitely could be an addiction. Dairy products contain proteins called casomorphines when metabolized.. they are chemically similar to morphine. They act on your opiate receptors subtly, yet surely.

I like milk but mine's five days out of date and my dad won't get more. Says it's fine till it stinks. I've drank plenty of delicious chocolate milk though that was well within the best before date. Anyone else have any milk stories?

I didn't consume dairy for 2 months, then got sick immediately following a deep dish pizza. Thanks antibiotic treatments and the disgustingly high rate of infection and disease among dairy cows (90% ).

I would agree that the anti-milk proponents are biased, but then again so are the pro-milk ones. The milk industry promotes milk saying it prevents osteoporosis. Real scientific inquiry shows us that it actually makes osteoporosis worse/ can help cause it. They also claim calcium as a benefit, but do not explain that none of that calcium is effectively metabolized.

Who's biased? Who can say? Figure it out on your own. Personally, [cows] milk does nothing for me, and I (like 50% of the human population) cannot properly digest it.

I know someone who drank milk in large quantities when growing up. He is huge in a midwestern farmer sort of way and he has the biggest head i have ever seen.

since when did cows milk somehow become the choice of milk for infants???
don't know what those two things were stuck on the front of my chest for if we were actually intended to consume cows milk....should really have evolved a cow there shouldn't I...

Milk isn't good for the body.
It's hard to believe that your parents were wrong,
I didn't want to believe it.

Milk you buy from the the supermarket, in a bottle or carton, is bad for you.

Don't drink your milk.

It isn't bad for everyone, but I'd say that the negatives outweigh the positives.

Regarding the OP's concern, I would say that milk isn't something you should weigh your whole diet on. Not getting variety in general is bad, but milk of all things cannot be especially healthy.

you shouldn't be drinking whole milk..go for 2% or better yet skim. I try to pound 3-4 lunch size cartons a day.

does anyone know exactly how much of the nutritional value of milk is lost when it is reduced-fat milk?
