Miley Cyrus taped smokin' salvia

Anybody else see this as possibly being the straw to break the camels back as far as Salvia legalisation goes? When legal drugs start getting this much press, and people who previously didn't know what it was start getting turned on, that tends to be the start of the criminalisation process.

It's already illegal here though, so welcome! It's not as colourful down here :(.

I agree. It's surprising that salvia still hasn't been banned yet as it is. It'll probably be illegal within the next year or two if we're lucky.

my dad is convinced is was weed, and that they're just saying it's salvia because it's legal

but she seems to be trippin to me

The newscaster's comments are over the top and hilarious, who gives a fuck what she does?

She should hit up some leak, than there would be a reason to be concerned... and there'd be better videos of her fighting off a half dozen officers and tearing phone books in half and shit.

lol you can tell she didnt break through because she continued speaking english and was not pouring sweat like her life depended on it... Seriously though whats the world coming to if we cant trust the spoiled millionaire offspring of a shitty musician, i blame tv

This isnt good. No one will understand, the laughing is the goddesses way of luring those too accupied by pop culture. Now youll get peopple in headshops looking for it because she made it seem like a laughing matter, well salvia is about to make it known that she IS NOT a laughing matter.

Think of all the poor souls she has now sparked curiosity in. People use to ask me about salvia and then go "woah hold on YOUR afraid of it, you the man who takes 10 hits of acid before shopping looked at me terrified and said no, never mind theres something unsettling about that"

I dont want to think about the 15 year old girl whos trying to be miley cyrus now.

^Well they'll learn their lesson real quick then, right? It's not like thousands of kids are just going to start going insane off of their first salvia trip.

And to boot, if it puts them off of more dangerous drugs, isn't it a positive result?

I'd say this would be a positive thing. If kids got into the notion that all drugs were on some level like salvia...there would be a lot less kids trying to get high after that.

Salvia is nothing like any other drug I've experienced. I wish I could laugh my balls off on salvia, it's not that kind of drug to me. It's frighteningly real and terrifying.

I'm glad most of you can remain optimistic about this video, I on the other hand see this as just another push for the anti-drug legislation to add salvia to the ranks of improperly labeled schedule I substances. Just think about what they'll have to say about it, "Miley Cyrus is a far-reaching youth culture icon and now that she's been seen smoking salvia young children will be inspired to emulate her actions (disregarding the fact that salvia's only legal among those of us 18+ and Miley's already inspired our nation's youth to dress like birds and dance provocatively in large cages)! We MUST think of the children! They're our future and if they turn on they may learn to think for themselves! THE HORROR!"

Honestly, I didn't even like salvia (and I gave it plenty of chances [15+]) so I'm not really concerned about it's legal status, especially given the fact that should it's criminalization follow past trends, illegality should simply increase it's supply. What I am concerned about is our politicians' continuing push to further limit our constitutional rights and freedoms. Criminalizing salvia would just mean they'd have to find a new "demon substance" to criminalize or a new "witch" to burn.

Normally I'd agree with you but theres something about that level of intensity that i feel shouldnt be given to the uneducated. I remember how i read about breaking through and how they say nothing can prepare you, well at least i read that lol.

^ I'd be-enemy her. No, just joking, I couldn't actually give a toss.

But anywayyyyyy...

I tend to agree with those saying they'll be taught a lesson when they search for this expecting some mild cannabis high. Knock them down a peg or two and educate them a lot. I think many would learn to respect drugs a lot more when they realise this 'benign' little herb can knock their block off.

Also, I have gotten the giggles from unsuccessful salvia hits. Always combined with an uncomfortable feeling though which is bizarre.
