i was in the midst of full-blown oxycodone withdrawals last 4th of july.
it really wasn't toooo bad, as i had a few beers and kept myself busy.
(i did end up cheating and took 50mg tramadol just before the fireworks started because i could no longer stand it, but i made it all day!)
try to keep your mind off of it. the more you dwell on it, the worse it will seem. if you have access to any benzodiazepines, take a LOW dose (as in like 0.125 if you have no tolerance to them) and have some beers. if not, keep your dealer on stand-by so if you absolutely can't tolerate it anymore and feel it is interfering with your holiday festivities, you can cop. i would only get as much as you need to take the edge off though- that way it won't be as bad come monday. i would try not to do this though as sunday will already be day 2 for you kicking and you'll have to start over again if you do it.
get a good night's sleep on saturday, take some loperamide, benadryl, an anti-inflammatory//NSAID, and a multi-vitamin sunday morning, and focus on your festivities. mind over matter- you can do it! %)
however, waiting until monday to kick is also okay- as long as you actually start monday! don't get in the habit of finding excuses to put it off! but, this will ensure that you will have a good time on sunday without discomfort.
